Homemade Diary Craft

This  activity will help children learn a good way to to express their feelings, thoughts and also practice their writing skills.

You will need:
Glue
Scissors
2 sheets of 4' x 5' construction paper
Needle and thread or sewing machine
10 sheets of 8 1/2 x 6"paper
2 sheets of 4-1/2 x 6"posterborad
11"x 14" fabric scraps
Have children glue poster board to inside of fabric. (Leave 1/4 inch between the poster boards)
Trim corners. Then fold over edges of the fabric and glue to poster board.
Fold the paper in half and match with the fold in the center of the book. Sew in place with a needle and thread or sewing machine.
 Set aside a time of each day to write in their diary. Encourage them to write about their fears, hope and dreams and friendships.
